Vicus creates patent and regulatory exclusivity for its product candidates to enable partnering with pharmaceutical companies and reimbursement by payers.

The first of several patents filed by Vicus on combinations for treatment of cancer-induced systemic inflammation was published on February 8, 2008 entitled "Drug combination pharmaceutical compositions and methods for using them." http://www.wipo.int/.  

Additional patent and regulatory filings protect the use of VT-122 as adjunct therapy with the leading targeted oncology drug products.  

The multi-tiered exclusivity creates the incentive for pharmaceutical companies to support the develop of VT-122 and bring breakthrough and low cost adjunct therapies to patients with cancer.
